Hi.
Having trouble with my usb flash drive.
Do they need to be formatted?
Also, I don't get a sound or a drive letter in my computer.
When I plug the usb flash drive in the usb port ,
nothing happens.
Doesn't say found new hardware or anything.
Running windows xp.
Thanks,
John God

98se will not recognise a flash drive till you install the driver for it.

If you do not have the driver, you would need to go to the manufacturers website to get it.

Sorry but os is Windows xp.
I used and copy info on another fash drive and it worked.
I needed info from Dell for the drivers for this pc.
They did it remotely from there side.
I tried 2 or 3 other flash drives on my own,
but none of them worked.
