I was recently given a flat lcd screen. It is the hp pavilion vf52. The problem with it is that it randomly turns on and off. I have tried a new rgb cable, and messed with my resolution settings but I can't seem to figure out what causes it to turn off and come back on randomly.

Haha I totally agree with you. If I could figure out what causes it to go off, it would be a good second monitor to have.

With today prices, monitors are mostly like throw away stuff.
Recently, I bought 19" LCD in perfect condition, from Craigslist for $70.
