Earlier today, I got the bloodhound virus. I came to this site, to see how to fix it. The first step, according to a post in these forums, was to install Windows Service Pack 1a. I did that, restarted my computer and now I have a very big problem. All I'm seeing is the my wallpaper. No taskbar, no start button, no desktop icons, nothing. I can, however, get Task Manager to launch. That's about it. I tried ending the explorer.exe process, and starting it again, but that didn't seem to do anything. Help would be greatly appreciated.

first thing is to start windows in safe mode (F8 during start-up). remove the SP1 and you should be back to normal...i don't know that installing that SP1 first off is the best solution. I suggest that after you uninstall it rou run HiJackThis! (available at downloads.com, it's free) and then post your scan log on the hijackthis logs forum on this site...someone will get to it sooner or later...good luck.
