Would the BIOS not recognizing my hard drives true size be causing the problem? Thanks for your reply.

get the latest ver of bios and install should help you or divide hdd on partitions 136 gb max and be happy. (when os see 250 thats fine after dividing hdd on partitions files should stop missing.) the bios is propably 48 bit beacuse os see 250 and he can use that space normally os will see just 137 same like in the bios
