Double entries in my OE 6 inbox!

For many months now about half of my inbox emails are repeated.

Mostly they follow each other with the same time but other repeats show up 20 mins or so later further down with a later time.
This happens on my PC and laptop but not on my friend's PC using the same router, ISP, OE6 and domain name.

Can anyone explain this and help me to stop this bug please?

(For other reasons I have recently set my 2 computers back to factory settings)
