I downloaded a file that I was not sure of and it got me! Now I have no access to internet, malawarebytes, or my c drive.
Eset smart security says I have 2 infiltrations found, 1 is the operating memory win32/Agent>ODG virus and can not be cleaned other is C:/drive /temp/win32/patched.AE virus! Please help!
I used CCleaner and eset but no go. System restore will not work says it is not protected! I am on my son's pc to access the net for now. Can anyone help>
I have a windows xp pro HP dc 5000 and it is up to date with all. Thanks so much Tanya

Hello SophieBee...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions found there. (You may have to download some of the suggested applications on one computer to execute on the infected machine.)

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post the requested logs in a new topic HERE. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
