I caused my own problem - now how do I :tazz: undo it?

I was trying to solve a sound problem with some software (using suggestions from a few websites) and accidently changed the sound quality for all my computer opperations. I haven't been able to locate the "box" and "scroll selection" again.

I need to change back to a normal setting. The problem is that I changed the sound quality to something like "concert hall" thinking it would make my music sound great but now everything echoes like it's coming from an empty parking garage! Sometimes it echoes upon echoes. It's driving me bats!

Please help.
