Hi geeks thank you very much for taking the time to read my post as you have fixed my pc many times before I ask for your help just one more time and i thank you in advance to anyone that can help me

here is the problem im having

I booted pc about 2 days ago seemed to go throgh initial checks (mem, drives etc..) then got got a blue screen with white text in top right hand corner saying something about system registy with path something like ??/??/SOFTWARE.

I had to restart because it hung or I had to restart. It did the same thing about three times in a row then after that it just boots to the "load with dos prompt, last known settings that worked screen with count down. if you choose any it just freezes and I have to restart. I have just checked recently and the monitor is not even kicking in, it seems dead.

thanks again hope to hear from some one soon.

1. If you have Windows CD, follow the steps from here: http://icrontic.com/...pair_windows_xp

2. If you don't have Windows CD...
Download Windows Recovery Console: http://www.thecomput...om/files/rc.iso
Download, and install free Imgburn: http://www.imgburn.c...hp?act=download
Using Imgburn, burn rc.iso to a CD.
Boot to the CD...let it finish loading.
When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
Then, follow the steps from here: http://icrontic.com/...pair_windows_xp, starting below this picture on page 1:
