Okay, so I think it's time to restore your router to factory defaults and start from scratch. Do you know how to do this?

yeah they have a tab specific for doing just that. Anything special I should do afterwards?

EDIT: hot [bleep] I think that did it! I set it to defaults, changed the name back to PSN, and the laptop connected! I'm trying on it right now!

Not really. I'd start off by just setting up the wireless without security and seeing if you can get all of your machines connecting (i.e. the laptop).

haha read my last. I am going to try enabling security tommorow (it's past midnight where I'm at) but so far it looks good, I should have thought of that in the first place. Oh well, leave the thread open as I will post my results here after enabling security. Once again man, thanks a bunch.

Okay everything looks good to go. I was able to access the router's setup page from the laptop, enable security, and re-connect. So let me ask you this, what was the problem? Router just hiccuped? This isn't the first time I had to tool around with the router, thing just craps out every now and then.

Sometimes it's just bugs in the firmware. Normally, a powercycle will get the kinks out, but it looks like yours was a little more serious. You can try contacting the manufacturers, but to be honest I don't think you'll get much help. "Update to the latest firmware" is usually the extent of their support on these types of issues. How olds your router?

I'm glad to hear that things are working. :) Thanks for letting me know.
