Try removing the receiver from the computer and see if the screensaver starts as it should.

I solved it by using a Logitech wireless desktop. Is yours a Microsoft set as mine was?

Service Pack 1 addressed this issue for most users...have you installed that?

This is a known bug.

I'll ask those in the know and see if they've managed a hot fox for it yet. It may take a bit for them to get back to me.

still have had no luck fixing this problem, on another note, this wireless keyboard setup also causes comptuer to sleep even though that is turned off, only way to get it ot of sleep is to unplug and re-plug, maybe there is another issue causing this and screen saver problem.

I haven't had any replies to my queries....

Let's look at a registry setting. Click the Start orb and type regedit in the Search field....click on regedit.exe at the top of the results. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Control Panel, and click on Desktop.

In the right pane, locate ScreenSaveActive.......what is the value shown for this under the Data column?

ok, just to let you know, with this setup computer sleeps even though it is disabled and the only way to wake it up is to unplug wireless and re-plug in wireless setup.

Tom Schlichting,

From what I understand of this issue it has to due with some programs running in the background that are installed with the Microsoft Mouse.

Did you see this article from microsoft?
