Control Panel error / application not found

Hello all,

I am really hoping someone can help with some issues I am having with my geek box. I have a HP desktop running Vista. I have recently run into some error messages and a very slow running computer.
Errors I have come across...

1. Control Panel error: I click on Control Panel and erro box pops up saying "application not found". Does the same thing for Default Programs.

2. "ESAdvRemIntegrator has stopped working" error box pops up at random times.

Those are the main issues (that I can see). The computer will start running VERY slow.

Any ideas?
