This is what it says next to the upload button on Geekstogo.

Max. single upload size: 100K

My file that I'm using as a test is 900kb

You said...

you only get a total of 2MB in your account to upload attachments

Under "My Controls" I have a total of "76K" when I add up the 4 attachments, but they were just text attachments from a HJT Startup List.

I think I have the way you do it correct, but my picture is 900K and the maximum single upload is only 100K according to what it says next to the upload button. Do I need to change my settings?

Thanks,

UHHH take a look at my last 1 billion posts, ya think? :)

But seriously, (can't stop laughing) this has been a problem for a while now, not just tonight.

Make sure you see my last post before the Quintuplet Post

single upload and max space for attachments are two different things, when you hit reply look over to the left of the attachment it should say something like

Select a file
Attachment space used 1.98MB of 2MB

or however much space you have used?

Attachments
undefined Attachment system ready
Select a file
Attachment space used 0bytes of 100K

Manage Current Attachments (0)

Mine doesn't. It says "Attachment space used 0bytes of 100k"

Do I have to change settings or something?

I can't find any where in control panel to change settings on attachments, this may be something we need an admin to explain. Its possible I have more space because I am a staff member, or it may be that something is wrong with your set up.

sorry I can't get it figured out for you :)

I deleted all my attachments but there was only like 70K in there.

Still says on the left after I hit reply 0bytes of 100k

Sorry for double replying all the time.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, but it isn't giving me the appropriate space to upload the attachment. I mean 100k, you can't upload hardly any picture under that right?

I know as a staff member you have to treat me kind of like I'm doing it wrong or as a novice, but this isn't the first time I have uploaded a picture. Like on Facebook, or when you attach something to an email. Its pretty much the same process ya know?

Edit: And I can do that in my email and on Facebook, so it must be just this site.

shoot admin a pm and ask him to have a look at this topic, maybe something is wrong with your account that I can't see.

I will PM him, do you think you could to? I hardly ever see him on here and I think he may discard it as some asking for help via PM. He would recognize your name. I will title mine "Bhowett told me to PM".

Thanks,

Follow the thread, maybe you will learn something! :)
