When CF card plugged into reader, XP reboots.
On reboot all ok, can read card. Card can now be removed and pluuged back in, without any problems.
Problem occurs when CF plugged in for first time on powered up system.

Have tried two different card readers.

Any ideas?

lean toward a bios flash unless this a rare motherboard that has a special driver for USB devices...then I would get that driver.

I have now upgraded bios to latest version F12 (Gigabyte GA-8IK1100) and problem persists.

Anything else I should try
