I just joined this site to try and get some answers about my new computer.
The other day I was looking something up on Google and when I clicked on a link my computer went crazy and said I was getting a virus!
I didn't know what to do. I clicked on a few things and eventually ended up shutting my computer down and restarting it.
After I restarted it, I ran a full sweep with my Webroot AntiVirus with Antispyware and sure enough a VIRUS showed up on my brand new computer. I quarantined it with my Antivirus and then deleted it.
I then ran ANOTHER full sweep with my AntiVirus and had a bunch of cookies on my computer! I quarantined them and then deleted them. Then the next day, I ran another sweep, more cookies, more deletes.
Today I ran a sweep and quarantined and deleted the cookies, then I signed off of the internet, signed off my computer, went to my girlfriends apt. and then came back home and ran another sweep. Guess what?
MORE COOKIES!!!!!
My questions are:
1. Do I still have a virus?
2. If I do have a virus, what do I do?
3. Are these cookies(See below) dangerous i.e. Can someone get my personal info?
4. Are these cookies just things that check out what kind of underwear I buy?
5. Are these cookies a necessary EVIL?
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!!!!
