I use Avast4.8 with SuperAntiSpyware, SpywareGuard and SpywareBlaster,
and the windows firewall. If MBAM is (I hear) good with SAS will I need to
take off one of the others?

Thanks.

If you're using the free versions of MBAM and SAS, they are on-demand scanners, so they will not have conflicts with one another or with the other programs.

I would get a better firewall.

The windows one isn't that great, it only protects inbound traffic so if anything is "dialling out" it won't stop it.
