Hello All,

My name is Sam and I was referred to this site via Yahoo Answers. I assist family and friends with computer issues and sometimes I run into problems I've not experienced before, so the help I receive here will be most valuable.

I conducted an XP reinstall and all Mozilla Thunderbird emails are missing, and some emails have attachments that contain critical information. How can I recover these items? I located the Thunderbird folder and found profiles, registry.dat, default, ect. but I am not sure how to move forward. If I reinstall Mozilla Thunderbird, will this solve the problem? If not, what are my next steps? :)

Thanks and I look forward to learning a lot from Geeks to Go! :)

Well, then all is gone.
You can try this, but the chances are very slim: http://www.raymond.c...overy-software/

Will do. Forgot to mention, the reinstalled pc shares a pop-server that houses a number of computers over the same network. Will that increase my chances?

Unless TB was set to "leave messages on server", then no.

samman,

Broni is right. It does not look like that link will help you solve your issue. The files were stored on your hard drive when you formatted you wiped your hard drive all data on the hard drive is gone including your emails. A email format changer will not help you issue.
