Go to
Control Panel and then Network Connections
Right Click on Local Area Connection and then click on Repair

Let me know if that helps

Please go back into Device manger
Please Go to
1: STARTand the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter
and check to see if you have a entry that says:

"Network Adaptors"

yeah. there is a network adaptors, & the thing that branches out when you click on it says

broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller

is that what you meant?

Yes thank you. That tells me the adapter is working fine then. What we need to do is work on the programming of the connection then.

So let's start with this
Go to
Start and then Control Panel
Then click on Network Setup Wizard and follow the prompts.
Let me know if this fixs the problem. If not then we will continue.
