for the last week, when i go to play solitaire(start-programs-accessories-games) i get the card lineup and immediately get a pop up window box that reads..this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
can anyone help me resolve this?

I'd first try removing it, and then reinstalling it.

Goto control panel > add/remove programs > add/remove windows components tab , goto the games section and unselect it, choose OK then exit and reboot, goto the same place and then reinstall. :D

thank you..will give it a try. at the moment. i am on hold for up to 15 minutes ..after giving them my credit card number for a 40 dollar charge!
will be interesting to compare solution.. again, thank you. i had no idea i would get a response so quickly.
