Hi,

I have had a HP Pavilion zv5000 Notebook for the past 6 months - the touchpad works ok however the Vertical scrolling function on the right hand side of the touchpad has suddenly stopped working.

I have Windows XP.
I have downloaded and installed the latest touchpad drivers (I think these are the latest) from http://h10025.www1.h...item=ob-16536-1
The product number is PD131PA#ABG.

I have been advised that in Control Panel/Mouse there should be a Gestures Tab but I don't have this.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this will be appreciated.

Any clue as to when it stopped working and what was going on at the time?

I woudl try to remove the touchpad in device manager and reboot to see if it would come back up. Also, the scrolling feature is not a driver issue, but a utility issue, I would guess. Did you disable anything in start up?

Thanks for the reply gerryf.

I did manage to resolve this issue (by uninstalling the touchpad and reinstalling).

I'm having the exact same problem with the same laptop. I think I uninstalled the touchpad but how do I reinstall?
