HP Advisor & ESAdvRemIntegrator has stopped working

I have a Hewlett Packard Desktop PC with Vista Home Premium. For the past few weeks I have been getting "ESAdvRemIntegrator has stopped working" error box pop up box appearing frequently and when I searched on this I found that it seemed to be somthing to do with the HP update/cleanup programmes that came with the PC. The HP Total Care Advisor has also stopped working. I have downloaded updates and reinstalled but this has not resolved the problem. Any ideas please?
