I am a former student at a United States Service academy and when I enrolled I had to buy a cruddy computer from the school. I have since left the school, but since this computer was on their servers I have no administrative rights (on a computer I purchased although they considered government property).

Recently I was infected with the Antimalware 2009 rouge...whatever it is. I searched for ways to get rid of it and every way I found included accessing files that I couldn't access due to my limited rights (Registrys etc). So then I downloaded PC tools Spyware doctor with antivirus which appears to scan, find and delete many malicious files. However, within minutes the problem has returned and I am plauged with the popups telling me to buy the antimalware program.

I called PC tools and got some tech assistant who told me to restart in safemode and scan again. I did and it found and deleted more files. It could not remove one, which was the registry file I've been after the whole time. So my question is this: Is there anyway for me to get rid of this sucker without my admin rights? And if I can't, is there anyway to hack into my own computer and regain my admin rights?
