Ok. My daughter had to reinstall windows. The computer is not picking up the ethernet controller drivers. It won't even tell us what kind of controller it is. The computer itself is a Dell Optiplex 320, don't laugh, she is young. I believe it is a Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller.

She lives 300 miles from me and has no connection to the net because of this, so downloading the drivers and getting them to her is not feasible. I can download them, burn them and send her the CD but she is crying and whin.. you get the picture. Is there somewhere on the windows cd that we can get the drivers from? XP is not picking them up off the cd when she tries to install drivers for it.

If anyone can give me a hand here it would be much appreciated.

If the drivers were on the XP CD they would have been installed already.
If your daughter doesn't have a Dell Resource CD which states on it "Drivers", all you can do is download them from the Dell website and send them on disk to her.
