Hey guys,

Thanks in advance for the help. Hope you guys can solve my problem as I have been trying already for the past week running countless scans including Norton Anti-virus, Ad-Aware, Spyware - Search and Destroy, and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. These have all resulted in many malware and spyware items being detected and deleted/quarantined but to no avail. My computer has continued to act up in sending me to alternate sites whenever I use the browser (even uninstalled Internet Explorer because of the malware/virus using primarily IE). Specifically, I think I have identified one problem through doing some research and that is the google-redirect malware. Also, the problem with my computer started becoming real apparent when for some reason my USB drives have stopped working (maybe the settings were changed by some virus/malware?). I can use devices that I had previously installed on the computer but cannot introduce new devices. I think this may be linked to my "Safely Remove Hardware" icon missing at the bottom right of my screen. Also, the following is my HijackThis logfile:

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2
Scan saved at 6:40:30 PM, on 5/8/2009
Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)
MSIE: Unable to get Internet Explorer version!

Since this a Malware issue, I suggest you follow this guide first: http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html
Follow the steps in that guide and post the required logs it asks for on the Malware Forum.
