Hi, my laptop seems to have a pretty severe virus. I have taken some steps to try and stop it in different ways, but here's whats happening:
*when i click on a link from a google search a new tab pops up on my internet that takes me to an ad or some spam.
*i can download, but not run or open many files
*mcafee virus scan will not run, as well as any other virus scan or trojan remover i have tried to download
*computer screen been freezing--the mouse still moves, but the screen and programs are unresponsive
*everytime i turn on my computer a message appears that says google installer has encountered a problem and needs to close -send or don't send error report--
*its only happened twice in the last week but it seems as though maybe someone hacked into my system because i can hear an online tv station being watched--but there is no source on my laptop of any program opened with anything being watched

-->because i cannot open virus scans or removal tools, i dont know what to do! i am usually very good with running scans every week just to be safe, and now i cannot! if you could help, i would deeply appreciate it. thank you,
