I'm recovering from some problems a few days ago, I believe it was virus / spyware related. Today I believe I got another virus (not 100% sure but it seems that way). The computer was giving some problems, I tried restarting in Safe Mode but it said something about not recognizing memory address (0x32676e...something like that) and just quit and seemed to shut off. (this popup stayed there after i hit OK a couple times but the title kept changing, and it was the names of those programs that startup normally w/ the computer). However after the computer 'turned off' the lights on the computer stayed on, and it just restarted somehow. Let it try to boot up normally the next 2 times, again it said something about not recognizing a memory address and shut off. Shoot this is bad! Can anyone advise?

Also my dad was complaining that his computer is slow, and we happen to use the same DSL connection, ie we're both connected to a modem which is connected to the net. Could it be my computer has infected his somehow or I dont have to worry about that?

thx
Dan
