windows app starting up slow

especially video the skip frames and it never was l;ike that when i first got the pc i have dell inspiron 1150 2.6 ghz and it not running like when i got it i haved runn al the spy ware ad ware prgram and got risd of them all but still not fixed the problem i have alot of the prgrams im running start slower also not just videos what can i do im thinking of goin for a dual imac any suggestion please help
