Virtual memory problem?

Go to
Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Advanced (tab) -> At performance click Options -> Advanced (tab) -> Virtual Memory click change. Make sure C: drive is highlighted, then choose custom, and change the first value to 1500 and the second to 1550.
Also, do you mind posting any currently running processes -from task manager- that have a memory usage above 40mb?

See "How to manually change the size of the virtual memory paging file". This is the same procedure, only change it to the values 1500 and 1550.

i went and bumped up the initial settings to 1500, and the max to 1550.

firefox.exe 52,260k
svchost.exe 28,696k

disreguard some of them, as i only just realised you said 40 mb not 20

Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
- installed security programs (antivirus, firewall)

oh, its ok now, you dont have to worry. i got a new computer on june 1st because my old one was kinda crappy anyway. thanks though
