I've spent the better part of two hours trying to find help with no luck, so I'm turning to various forums.
I've got the game Sanitarium. Everything works fine until I get to disk 2. So far, I've gotten three different errors. They are:
1-Cannot read Word Stats
2-SNTRM caused an exception c0000006H in module SNTRM.EXE at 018f:00431a3f
3-SNTRM caused an invalid page fault in module SNTRM.EXE at 018f:004327df
The first error is the least of my concern since the game will continue if I choose to "ignore" it, but then one of the other two errors comes up. I can't find ANY patches for this particular problem. The game developer sites aren't much help either since the one site (xsgames.biz) isn't finished. The other company isn't even in business anymore.
About the only thing I've found is that the game has problems running on XP, but I'm not using XP. There's apparently a problem with one of the levels on disk one, but I didn't come across that. I can't find anything about my disk 2 problem.
I'll list my system specs to the best of my ability, but I'm not sure about everything.
I'm using Windows 98 SE.
I've got a Pentium 3 733 MGHZ processor.
28.6 gig hard drive.
128MB RAM.
Samsung DVD-ROM SD-606F (I have no clue what speed it is. How do you find that out, anyway?)
My display lists ATI Rage 128 Xpert 128 (whatever that is...)
There's two listings for sound:
SB AudioPCI 64V Legacy Device, and
Sound Blaster AudioPCI 64V. I don't know what the difference is, but they're both listed in Device Manager.
Also, don't know if this is important or not, I'm currently running with 92% resources free. The only background applications running are Explorer and systray.
Since the two major errors seem to be with the EXE file, I'm thinking that reinstalling might fix it. The thing is, it doesn't give me an option to REinstall... just uninstall and install again. I really don't want to do that because I'd lose everything, but if it's the only way to fix my problem, I'll do it.
*whew* Okay... that's it. I'd really, really, really appreciate any help. Thanks and sorry for bursting in with this, but it's my last resort.
