password protected workbook not opening

Strange If I open a excel worksheet with a workbook both password protected from an email it opens ok.

I then save it to my documents.
I try to open it and it closes imediatelty or sometimes comes up this a microsoft error?

If I open from the Email then remove the workbook password and save to my documents it opens ok.

As soon as a password protect a workbook I cannot open it?
