my cdrw will run regluar cds fine but when i insert a blank one to burn to it, it tells me that it needs to be formatted and then says that it cant format it?? when I put a floppy in it says it needs to be formatted then says it cant do it. I know the floppies are formatted bc they have stuff on them and work in other comps, and the CD-R's are store bought and work fine in my other computer. I have no clue what to do? Any help would be awesome. Thanks :tazz:

What software came with your cdrw? It should explain how to format your cd-r. In my case I use Roxio and it tells me exactly how to do it. I seem to remember that Nero does not support cd-r for their drag and drop packet writing, and if you have Nero...well there you go.
