Is there any way to recover files removed from the recycling bin? I am using Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Open the recycle bin, and right click items, choosing restore to restore them.

Oh sorry, read your question wrong.. Thought it seemed a little odd.

The success rate is uncertain, so do not get your hopes too high, but try Uneraser.

Hope that helps,
Jason

As that is only a trial version, which limits you probably in some way, also try this free tool.

How did you find them? What happens when you try to view them?

Try to rename one file from something.jpgs to something.jpg, and see, if it'll open.
What program do you use to open graphic files?

I used "Restoration" to find the file; and simply clicked copy & save. As for .jpgs; I meant .jpg's as in plural, sorry for the confusion.

To veiw them I use windows picture and fax veiwer. I tried opening them into paint, and I get the following error:

C:\...\picture.jpg
Paint cannot read this file.
This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is currently not supported.

It looks like it didn't fully recover.
Did you try more than one file?
Try Recuva from my link.
