Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).

Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all

Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.

Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on (this is very important part for you, since you're using Norton), just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

Try to play the game.

Hi,

I did wat you have ask me to, and restarted the pc using normal mode. When my pc restarted i had this window prompt saying system configuration utility has made changes, and this is why this message pops up and will keep popping up everything windows loads.

Ok, i'm going to try to play the game right now, and is if anything happens :)

Thank you

This is normal. Just put a checkmark into the box, and it won't do it anymore.

Hi,

After i did what you told me to do, i started the game, and around 2 hours later my pc froze. The screen just freeze, the mouse can't move, and i can't do nothing but to hold the on button on my tower to turn off my pc. Remember the process explorer u told me to dl, it was running while it freeze, and the only thing i saw difference was on the top where it says hardware interupts there was a # next to it 2.34 I coudlnt' take a snapshot cuz the pc froze but i wrote down the # i saw there and that was the only difference i saw when the pc didnt' freeze.
In the past i try to leave the pc idle without the game on to see if it freeze, the next morning i wake up it's fine. So it seems to only freeze when i'm gaming.

Thanks

Go back to msconfig, and enable everything you disabled before.

Then, I'm out of ideas here. I'm sorry.
Since it happens only when you're playing the game, maybe, maybe there is something wrong with the video card itself, but this is just a wild guess.

That may be a good idea.
Go Start>Run, type in:
devmgmt.msc
Click OK.

What do you have listed under Display Adapter?

I have an idea here Broni.

I see in the shot you took, you are running Symantec Endpoint. Try disabling the Tamper Protection by following this KB from Symantec and see what happens http://service1.syma...9d?OpenDocument

I wouldn't be surprised if Norton was still doing something even with services disabled, its funny like that.

Also, how large is the power supply in this machine? Not enough power will cause a machine to lag and freeze, especially under heavy load.

Possible.
We can try to uninstall Norton completely, but let's go one step at a time.
Good point about power supply :)

Right click on it, click Uninstall.
When uninstall is complete, right click again, click Disable
Restart computer, and on-board video should kick in.
If not, you may need to go to BIOS, and enable on-board video.

The only way i know of is to open the case and look at it. Also, make note of the brand.

Was this a machine that was bought or custom made? Since there is onboard video and a video card, was the card an upgrade to the original configuration of the machine?
