Okay so everytime I try to open "my videos" explorer.exe crashes. This happened all of a sudden. I cannot even go to customize under the folder properties or do a search for the files without explorer.exe restarting. Help? Thanks!

Prior to the issue starting did any of the following take place:

Have there been any updates done to the system just either hardware or software?
Any patches done to software?
Anything downloaded form the internet?

Download WhoCrashed from the link in my signature below
This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

Click on the file you just downloaded and run it.
Put a tick in Accept then click on Next
Put a tick in the Don't create a start menu folder then click Next
Put a tick in Create a Desktop Icon then click on Install and make sure there is a tick in Launch Whocrashed before clicking Finish
Click Analyze
It will want to download the Debugger and install it Say Yes

WhoCrashed will create report but you have to scroll down to see it
Copy and paste it into your next reply

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Analysis
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Sat 3/7/2009 2:49:52 PM your computer crashed
This was likely caused by the following module: nv4_disp.dll
Bugcheck code: 0xEA (0x88940DA8, 0x8A2D9B70, 0x89132818, 0x1)
Error: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\nv4_disp.dll
product: NVIDIA Compatible Windows 2000 Display driver, Version 182.06
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Compatible Windows 2000 Display driver, Version 182.06

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 crash dumps have been found on your computer. Only 1 have been analyzed. Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is really responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

This crash happened a couple of months ago, so it doesn't appear to be relevant to this problem. Nevertheless, you should get your video driver updated. What is the make and model of your computer?

Just a FYI:

C: (NTFS) 70896 MB (6586 MB free)
Problem Disk free space is only 9% on drive C:.

XP starts acting strange at less then 15% of free drive space. Once we resolve the current issue maybe we can address this also if you would like. :) :)

Until he makes some more space, running my command (which disables media preview) should help though.
