Hello,

I've read several other posts about the rtvscan.exe runtime error but can't seem to make any headway into what exactly is the cause. I've already uninstalled/installed, ran the Norton Removal tool, but still no luck. This started after cleaning Virus Shield 2009 off using MBAM. I have OTL ready to go on this PC, just not sure how it should be configured for best effect. The SAV I'm using is SAV Corporate Edition v 10.1.5.5000, and with the latest install, it won't Live Update. Please advise...

Thanks

It sounds like you have a active infection from your description.

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Well, I posted in the Malware Forum and after 9 days and 42 views, not a single response. Are you sure it belongs there? None of my scans are turning anything up, it just seems to be either a file damaged or deleted during cleaning out the infections. Any ideas what is causing this?

Here's the link to the thread in the Malware Forum: http://www.geekstogo...or-t241958.html

As you have waited more than three days, you can move to The Waiting Room where you will be on the top of the list to be helped.
