missing unicows.dll

I am running windows me and when i start it up the error message unicows.dll file is missing. i can't run messenger becasue it comes up with the same error message and can't acess my email on msn. please could someone explain in very easy terms how i can get the unicows.dll file and how to get it on my system where it is supposed to go. I have looked at other sites but as i'm new to pc's i don't really understand some of the technical information on how to solve the problem. please help i am going crazy here trying to fix it.
