ok lets see if i'm in the right place, i've read through some of the post but didn't find a fix for my problem.. I can rebuild a harley blind folded but can't figure out this computer.. I have a dell 4600 desk top. with windows xp,version 2002,service pack 3... a few dyas ago i got the malaware bug (antiviris system pro 2009) and i down loaded a rogue fix, which seems to have worked. but when i rebooted the system it downloaded updates for internet explorer 8. since then i haven't been able to here sound on the internet,ie: videos,music... I have read the post here and tryed a few things but nothing works. now when i reboot i get a error message....
HKey_Local_Machine\software\microsoft\windowsNT\current version\Drivers32
verify that you have suffient access to that key.
What is it and is that my pboblem ?
Also I should note that the videos and music on my desktop play fine with sound, just don't have sound on the internet.....
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
