please someone help me, recently my computer got hijacked, but i managed to delete some of the stuffs manually, and others with antispywares like norton anti-virus, ad-adwares, etc... after that everytime i turned my computer a dialog box will pop up saying that error loading c:/windows/cfgmgr51.dll. i read one of your forum in which one guy had the same problem and i fixed it. Then came the pop up nightmare AURORA.

Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please run Notepad and copy the following text into a new file:

4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on remove.bat. A window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Post the log from the scan here for me.

Then please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

hi pomp86 first i would like to thank you very much for your time and your help but also let you know that im a very beginner computer user so please tolerate if i do any mistake.
first when i start my computer i get this message:window cannot find'C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe'.Make sure you type the name correctly etc.....

- second i woudn't stop getting this messages from ewido saying this:

1) Please navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows, including the latest version of Internet Explorer. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer. Your current versions are outdated. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

Ad-Aware SE

Spybot-Search & Destroy

Keeping these programs up-to-date and running them regularly can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

3) Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. 4) Also make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.

I notice that you do not seem to be running antivirus software. This is somewhat suicidal in today's digital world. AVG makes an excellent free antivirus client; it may be downloaded here. Please make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.

Reboot your computer into safe mode.

Then just open My Computer, and go here C:\windows\system32 and then find the file "pnzrrk.exe" and delete it. Empty recycle bin.

Well did you follow my prevention speech? Why don't you just run ad-aware SE and spybot? Go ahead and just do that, although you are fine, your log has been clean. just run those two programs and delete whatever it finds for now.
