SPTD.sys is a driver associated with DAEMON Tools. A lot of people find problems with it.
Try removing the driver:
1. Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc
2. In the View tab > Show hidden devices
3. In the tree find Non-plug and play drivers > Choose "sptd" > right click and Uninstall
When uninstalled, reboot into safe mode and see if you have any luck.
Hope this helps -
