I have a Toshiba Quosimo that uses RecordNow to burn CDs. It will not take a regular CD. I have uninstalled the drive and reinstalled it. I also downloaded a new driver and attempted to install that, but when I go to find new hardward, it automatically installs the old drivers as well. Any ideas? Thanks!

Ok it looks like you got the wrong version of Everest. It's not showing information needed information due to it being a trial version. Please follow these instructions to get the Free Home Versionand not the EVEREST Ultimate Edition . This will show the info Dragonmaster Jay will need.

Looks like it from here, it is a DVD/CD re-writable drive. Looks like you can only play CDs. Perhaps you could also burn to CD-RWs, but only certain CD-Rs will work. It is all about experimenting with what CD-Rs will work.

Back when CD re-writable drives came out, they could use most manufacturer's discs.

But then, DVD/CD re-writable drive came out, they could only accept certain manufacturer's discs.
