Yahoo Instant Messenger 9 Problem

I installed the newest version of Yahoo IM a few days ago. Ever since then my computer has slowed down and when I IM someone it is taking forever for it to open up so I can type a message to them. Is there anyway I can go back to the older version I was using before? THANKS!
