Hello,

I am using Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook 2007 and getting online through a linksys WRT54G router. I am trying to set up my account with my school's email. I can receive all the emails but I can't seem to send any of them. I googled this problem and it seems like the linksys router is blocking port 25 or something.

I also set up my gmail account to outlook, which did not send emails originally. Following instructions online, I changed the outgoing port to 587 and the outgoing mail went through. I tried changing the outgoing port to 587 for my school's email but it didn't do the trick.

Any help?

Thanks!

Emails can usually only be sent through a provider's servers when you're connected to them.
Depending on the school's configuration for the email you may only be able to send from work.
