the dell dj has so many weird names, all i want to know is is it a normal mp3 player?

yes it is
it is pretty much an ipod made by dell.
It has other features but it can be a regular mp3 player. For the price it costs i recomend getting a pocket pc instead same price better features for the pocket pc mp3 internet work processing and games
