I started off the morning with Norton telling me I had a packed.generic.200 virus and they wanted $99.99 to fix it. Then I ran a security scan through Microsoft that found a total of 3 problems, but could only fix 2 leaving me with the Trojan:Win32/Tibs.gen!Ids virus. I was offered a free trial of Microsoft Live OneCare service, but it looks like I have to remove Norton and eventually pay $49.95 for the service. Agghhhh! :)

At a friends request, I am here looking for a way to remove the Trojan:Win32/Tibs.gen!Ids virus myself. However, I am not as computer fix'in savvy as I am navigating the web. I can't seem to figure out which fix instructions I need to use for this virus. Can someone, please, direct me where to start? :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
