My desktop computer has been decimated by Advanced Virus Remover 2009 and I am unable to get rid of it. I ran AVG, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition yesterday and seemed to fix everything except my sound (it won't play any sounds at all). Yet when I got up this morning, the computer is refusing to open any .exe files and when tried it asks which program I wish to use to open the .exe file. Add all this to the fact that my son broke my ROM drive so that the tray won't stay shut and I am pretty sure that I am going to have to seek a professional to fix this problem for me. I know a bit about computers, enough that I feel comfortable editing the registry with some instructions on what I am looking for, however I am also unable to use Regedit do to the same issue of being unable to use .exe files. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I was recently layed off and cash is really tight right now. Thanks in advance.
