Hi,

I have Compaq ML370 G1 server, windows 2003 with 2gb memory, 2procs 930mhz, smart array 5300 controller, and compaq DLT4000 tape drive. I am getting the following error and have not been able to determine the cause of it.

"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\sym_hi1"

This error is display about 42 times consecutively on the event log. My server also freezes up interminently.

Does anyone have any ideas on the error message?

Thanks,
