Attempted to turn my laptop on today (currently on a pc). Running Vista, just prior to the login page where i scan my fingerprint/put in password this error message comes up:

the procedure entry point cstdstubbuffer_couindq( could not be located in the dynamic link library rpcrt4.dll

i have scanned googled and had a root around but havent a clue how to resolve the issue.

When i boot my laptop up in safemode i am able to log in, but whenever i attempt to run a program, e.g. antivirus software or system restore nothing happens, other than the same message being displayed.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
