To free space on my computer I recently burned some photo images to a DVD intending to continue working with them.
I had never done this before & now find they have been saved as
"read only" files ... I can no longer open them to view or to work with. Is there any way I can re-instate them as active files please.

How about right clicking the files, choosing properties, and unchecking Read Only?

If they are on a DVD, you might not be able to work with them and resave them.. but if you put them back on the computer, and uncheck Read Only, you can probably work with them. Maybe they are already off the DVD and onto the computer.. Just saying though :)
