Hello. Recently while downloading an antivirus software (that I have used before and so is not the problem) I happened across something called XP Deluxe Protector. I had thought it was part of my Windows XP system and so downloaded it too, but found out rather belatedly that it was trouble. The antivirus software I downloaded does not work at present because XP Protector is fooling it into thinking that XP is already a functioning antivirus program. I know there's another topic related to this, but me being not very computer-savvy I didn't really understand what was being said and so I'm making a new one.
Long&Short:
I'm really sick of these constant popups that are slowing down my computer and getting in the way all of the time, and after discussing said problem with my computer teacher I was directed to this site.
Please help me get rid of this once and for all. Any&all advice is greatly appreciated.
