Viewing "only" attached files in MS Outlook

Hi. Im hoping someone could assist me with this problem.

Im using MS Outlook 2000. When I receive emails with image attachments I open the images which by default opens in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. When I click on the next button I will either see one of the attached images or images that I have previously received or have. How do I stop the previously received or stored images from being displayed?
