Have you checked for viruses? Try the advice in this forum: http://www.geekstogo...emoval-f37.html

Is there anything that's consuming extra resources (CPU or memory) in the Processes tab of Task Manager when the freeze occurs?

Try this...
Go to the Processes tab in Task Manager and select the View menu item.
Then select the Select columns menu item.
Place checkmarks next to I/O Reads and I/O Other, then Click OK to accept the changes.
Resize your Task Manager window so you can see the new columns.

Then make it freeze and see if anything appears in the new columns
